Colorado football coach Deion Sanders recently highlighted an act of generosity seen from his son, Shedeur, during his time in Boulder. He spoke on the moment to quiet narratives surrounding his quarterback’s supposed selfishness.

Coach Prime claims that his son’s good deed went unappreciated by the recipient, who happened to be a teammate on the Buffaloes‘ roster. The player later transferred without as much as a thank you!

An image has been portrayed of the team’s starting signal caller suggesting he’s more interested in personal fame than success. It’s a storyline further fueled by the program’s postulated obsession with “clicks” over competition.

Deion Sanders wants you to know that Shedeur is a good teammate, and much of what’s done behind the scenes isn’t reported on. Media members have done their best to run the family name through the mud rather than spotlight the positive character in the Colorado locker room.

The head coach set the record straight on the outside view of his son and team leader this week.

“His heart is phenomenal,” he said of Shedeur Sanders. “We had a guy, and I’m not gonna call his name, jump into the portal this offseason. He didn’t have furniture in his home, although he had an NIL deal.

“Shedeur bought him furniture. Loaded him up. He then jumped in the transfer portal and didn’t even say thank you. Didn’t even say bye.

“[Shedeur] don’t trip, because he’s blessed enough to do it. But that’s who this young man is.”

Sanders is a great teammate by all accounts, no matter what picture is painted in the media. He’s also got the Buffs positioned to make a run to the Big XII title game.

Colorado is currently 6-2 and in a tie for second place in the conference standings. They’ve rallied around Shedeur Sanders this year, and they could soon find themselves in the College Football Playoff should the chips fall in their favor.
