Shilo Sanders did not hear his name called during the NFL Draft. He, the middle son of Deion Sanders, fell out of “flier” territory in the late-sixth and seventh rounds to end up as an undrafted free agent.
The entire weekend did not go according to plan for the entire family and the disappointing result ultimately led to the ouster of the patriarch as the two brothers’ agent.
Deion Sanders talked a lot of talk about his sons over the last two years. The 57-year-old Pro Football Hall of Famer promised that Shedeur would be a top-five pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He all but guaranteed that Shilo would be selected not too long thereafter.
In reality, Shedeur became one of the biggest NFL Draft stories in history for all of the wrong reasons. Not only did he drop out of the top 10, he plummeted to the No. 144 overall pick in the fifth round. Yikes.
As the former Jackson State and Colorado quarterback continued to fall, his big brother saw the writing on the wall. He realized that he was going to suffer a similar fate and decided to make a change.
Shilo removed Deion Sanders as his agent because “that hasn’t been working out too good.”

The older of the two soon-to-be NFL rookies signed with one of the best in the business on Saturday. Drew Rosenhaus will take over the role previously held by his father.

Shilo ultimately went undrafted. However, it did not take long for him to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a free agent.

The skull-rattling safety will join the Bucs for rookie minicamp with hopes of making the roster come August. Rosenhaus made sure to congratulate his newest client.

Credit where credit is due. This weekend did not go according to plan for the Sanders family.. Some might say that it was a total disaster. Because it was.
And yet, their spirits never broke. Shedeur, Shilo and Deion Sanders led with gratitude throughout the entire process and kept a smile on their faces.
They also were smart enough to recognize a problem and fix it. Shilo and Shedeur will no longer be represented by their father. Deion Sanders was willing to step down from his role after seeing his sons drop in the draft. They made the decision, as a family, to enter the NFL with an agent.
