Nebraska blew out rival Colorado over the weekend, avenging last year’s loss in Boulder. After the fact, the media team released a behind-the-scenes look at the 18-point win.

In doing so, it singled out Buffs defender Shilo Sanders, who exited the game in the first quarter with a broken forearm. It turns out some of his pregame trash talk aged very poorly.

The starting safety was heard taunting the Cornhuskers during the coin flip, saying that the Buffaloes would “roll” Nebraska when the game got underway.

When the contest kicked off, though, a completely different story played out!

Running back Dante Dowdell detailed a first quarter run in which he sought Sanders out at the second level. Rather than making a move, he decided to run right through the defensive back.

The physicality would be a preview of what ended up being a very long night for the Buffs.

Nebraska jumped out to a 28-0 first half lead before taking its foot off the gas. It was an ugly game from start to finish!

Shedeur Sanders’ offense never got in rhythm, with the ‘Huskers’ defensive line dominating an overmatched Colorado front. On the other side of the ball, a potent run game proved too much for the Buffs to handle.

After the fact, it was Nebraska doing the talking.

Locker room scenes showed players trolling Shedeur Sanders as they celebrated while blasting his “Perfect Timing” single. Dylan Raiola was also seen mocking the passer by throwing up his patented watch pose.

Colorado talked the talk in the pregame, but it couldn’t walk the walk! Nebraska’s inside look only highlighted that fact, with the spotlight on Shilo Sanders.

Sanders has since undergone surgery on his forearm and is expected to be back in 2-3 weeks.
