The Drake curse has been an ongoing phenomenon in sports and there’s a chance that Shohei Ohtani is his latest victim.

It’s still early, but the recent games Ohtani has played have been less than stellar for the Los Angeles Angels—particularly his hitting.

Just three days prior to the writing of this article, popular rap artist Drake was spotted where a Shohei Ohtani jersey.

Since then, the Angels star has been a bit cold at the plate. In his last three games, Ohtani has gone 2-12 with seven strikeouts, and not a single RBI. He’s also only been walked once.

Now, it’s a relatively small sample size. Additionally, Shohei Ohtani can go ballistic at any moment. So, there probably isn’t any real reason for concern.

Despite that, some Angels fans seem convinced the Drake curse is in full effect during a crucial part of the regular season.

Angels fans are in shambles.

How do you counter the Drake curse? We need Shohei Ohtani back to his regular self.

Some people just like to watch the world burn.

Seriously though. When will it end?

Professional athletes beware.

Shohei Ohtani and the Angels are set to take on the San Francisco Giants in their next series. They’re another tough opponent for LA, so it’ll be interesting to see if Ohtani can bounce back.

If not, then perhaps the Drake curse really did get Ohtani. But if anybody can beat the Drake curse, it’ll be Shohei Ohtani.
