Sophie Cunningham has become an overnight sensation for defending her teammate Caitlin Clark. Earlier this week, Clark found herself getting several heated altercations with Connecticut Sun player Jacy Sheldon.

During the game, Clark got poked in the eye by Sheldron before getting shoved to the ground by another Sun player.

At the end of the game, Cunningham got revenge on Sheldon for getting physical with Clark.

Since the altercation, Cunningham’s popularity has skyrocketed. On Wednesday, Cunningham’s jerseys were sold out on the WNBA website, and she has now gained over 500k followers on TikTok in just a few days.

Cunningham would later go on TikTok to joke about her newfound fame with the song “can’t keep my hands to myself.”
