After WNBA and Chicago Sky star Angel Reese became the first active athlete to walk in the famed Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, another big name in “The W” has expressed an interest in modeling for the iconic lingerie brand: Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham.

While the 29-year-old Sophie Cunningham has been in the WNBA since 2019, her popularity has exploded since she joined the Indiana Fever via her on-court defense of Caitlin Clark and off-court outspokeness about the WNBA’s level of officiating, which resulted in her getting fined multiple times throughout the season.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Cunningham revealed that she immediately texted her agents about getting invited to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show after seeing Reese participate in it earlier this month. In addition to Angel Reese, Olympic Gold Medalist Suni Lee also walked in the 2025 VS Fashion Show.

“Oh my God, I texted my agents right away and said please, pleaaase — this has been a dream of mine since second grade. I’ve always wanted to be a Victoria’s Secret Angel,” Cunningham told TMZ Sports, adding “I don’t really have the boobs.”

During an injury-shortened 2025 season due to an MCL tear, Cunningham played in 30 games for the Fever and started in 13. She averaged 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. She will be an unrestricted free agent this year as Cunningham signed a one-year, $100,000 deal with the Indiana Fever for the 2025 season.
