Ken Block was a revolutionary in the world of motorsports in the United States.
The Rally Car driver and YouTube star was known worldwide not only for his ability behind the wheel but also for his remarkable charisma.
Sadly, Block passed away on Monday at the age of 55 following a snowmobile accident.
Police pronounced him dead at the scene according to a report from ABC News.
The Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office said it received a call about an accident in the Mill Hollow area at about 2 p.m. local time.
“The driver, Kenneth Block, [a] 55-year-old male out of Park City, Utah, was riding a snowmobile on a steep slope when the snowmobile upended, landing on top of him. He was pronounced deceased at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement posted to Facebook. – via ABC News
It didn’t take long for the tributes to come pouring in from far and wide. NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano was one of the first to weigh in.
Prayers for @kblock43’s family. He was a pioneer in motorsports and brought a vision to do things behind the wheel that no one else had ever accomplished of even thought of before.

So sad to hear about the loss of an absolute legend @kblock43. Nothing that man couldn’t do! The things he did behind the wheel of a car looked as if they were fake and out of a video game. The Best!!!! 🙏

Ken Block was one of my first major interviews. I was 19 and nervous, but he showed me so much kindness and respect. I don’t think I’ve fretted an interview since (for better or worse).
I’ve seen a lot of stories about how Ken impacted us tonight, and I hope we never forget them

It's hard to put into words my feelings over ken block's death.
It hard seeing someone you grew up with, seeing their videos. Thinking that was the coolest shit.He leaves behind beloved family.
He died as he lived, living life to its fullest.
