Stanford Band Brutally Trolls Elon Musk’s Cybertruck With Hilarious Halftime Show

Anybody who knows anybody about the Stanford University Marching Band knows that it likes to push the limits.

The band, which officially goes by the “Leland Stanford Junior University Marching Band,” isn’t exactly your typical college band.

Stanford’s marching band is run by students. It does not have a director, and no musical experience is required if you want to join. There are also no traditional band uniforms, instead, they have an unofficial dress code that involves a red blazer or vest, black pants, and “the ugliest tie you can get your hands on.”

It is also known, perhaps above all else, for pushing the boundaries to try to find ways to troll opponents. In essence, it is as much sketch comedy as it is a marching band.

Stanford Band Trolls Elon Musk With Crashing Cybertruck Routine

On Saturday afternoon, the band set its sites on Tesla owner and all around dweeb Elon Musk. During halftime of Stanford’s game against visiting Virginia Tech, the Stanford band routine featured a student dressed up as Tesla Cybertruck recklessly crashing into everything it could find.

And while that show is an apt description of the current state of the Stanford football program, it’s also a pretty hilarious shot at Musk and the Cybertruck.

The truck has been a massive failure since it was released in late 2023. So much so that it’s already had multiple recalls and owners are seemingly finding new problems daily.

By almost all accounts, the Cybertruck is a rolling metal deathtrap. And who better to make fun of the absurd-looking, incredible failure of a vehicle than Silicon Valley’s own Stanford University students?

If the Cardinal can’t win football game, the least it can do is continue to have an incredible bamd.
