The Pittsburgh Steelers are probably regretting running a trick play for their kicker right about now.
In the second quarter of the Steelers-Browns game, Pittsburgh decided to run a fake field goal pass ON 4th and 9 in the red zone, but unfortunately, their kicker Chris Boswell got absolutely destroyed on the play.

Chris Boswell immediately went into the locker room and forced the Steelers to play without a kicker.
Steelers took a knee from their own 35-yard line after taking possession with 20 seconds left in the half. No need to try to play for a field goal without a kicker available. https://t.co/fq1ZuHdZx1

Unless I missed him, #steelers PK Chris Boswell is not out here taking practice kicks before the 2nd half starts. he was hurt on that fake FG. Wonder if Tomlin will just be going for it on fourth down and on PATs in 2nd half. #PITvsCLE

This offense isn’t good enough to waste free and easy points. In a 3-3 tie, you take the lead.
Now, you’re tied with no kicker.
Just an absolutely atrocious decision to fake that field goal.

Chris Boswell is being evaluated for a concussion. Mike Tomlin is going to have to answer to this after the game

Meanwhile, Boswell is the 3rd best kicker in #NFL history and you just got him a concussion.
Nice work, really solid play-calling to get our Kicker injured on a total BS fake FG.
