Stephen A. Smith is known for going off on tangents, as ESPN’s First Take provides him the platform to argue every topic known in sports.

With that in mind, the popular sports analyst hasn’t held back when it comes to Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving.

Now, it appears the two actually do have a personal feud, after Stephen A. Smith admits to it, per Awful Announcing, and confirmed by NBA Central.

It’s a bit odd to hear Smith admit there’s some personal beef between himself and Kyrie Irving. Especially considering how heated he became when Jay Williams called him out for it not that long ago.

With that in mind, Stephen A. Smith’s recent admission stems from that argument with Williams. Awful Announcing shares Smith’s full statement on Kyrie Irving.

“Now Kyrie and I have our differences on a personal level, which is none of anybody’s business and I’ll never tell why,” Smith continued. “He knows why. And his daddy knows why. They know how I feel about how they’ve acted towards me and they know how I feel about them and I know how they feel about me. But I can say that to anybody out there because I know that that does not interfere with my reporting on him and my perspective based off of the facts.”

It’s unclear exactly what the feud is between Stephen A. Smith and Kyrie Irving. But it seems to be legitimate. Maybe one day one of these two will spill the beans. But that’s unlikely to happen anytime soon.
