Tacko Fall may not have a future in lacrosse but it was very entertaining to see him try! He made a regular attack stick look like a toothpick.
It is something I did not expect to see.
Fall was one of the biggest phenomenons in college basketball history during his four-year career at UCF. The 7-foot-6 Senegalese center also took the NBA G League by storm during a brief stint with the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers. Everybody and their mother wanted to watch him play.
Unfortunately, Fall never quite found a home in the NBA so his professional basketball career took a stark pivot. Now, at age 29, he dominates overseas competition in China and Australia. It is still so much fun to watch him go to work against lesser talent compared to the United States.
For whatever reason, Fall was in Chicago to witness the Premier Lacrosse League host the first-ever lacrosse game on a river. They completely took over a riverboat to play 3-on-3 right in the middle of the Windy City. The entire concept was super cool.
I don’t really know why Tacko Fall, of all people, was there but it made for a really funny moment! His massive frame made a standard lacrosse stick look like a mini/fiddle stick.

Duke defenseman Zach Jepson might be the tallest lacrosse player in history at 6-foot-8. Fall has him beat by more than eight inches. It almost doesn’t look real. He looks so out of place.

I don’t think Tacko Fall has a future in professional lacrosse but can you imagine? I would pay money to watch one of the tallest basketball players of all-time go head-to-head with guys like Mac O’Keefe or Garrett Epple. In fact, I might be on to something here. Perhaps we should create a new television series where Fall tries to play all kinds of different professional sports. That would be must-see T.V. if you as me!
