Few people have dominated the pop culture scene in the past few years like Taylor Swift and Caitlin Clark. The pop superstar and hoops prodigy have captivated America, selling tons of tickets wherever they go.
Finally, both of them are in their respective “offseasons”, as Swift’s record-shattering Eras Tour came to an end on Sunday and Clark is enjoying an extended break from competitive basketball after playing her final season at Iowa and the WNBA season essentially back-to-back. And as it turns out, the two have corresponded with each other.
Clark, the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer, brought the WNBA to new heights in 2024 in terms of attention and viewership. She has the ability to really change how the WNBA is viewed nationwide and make her and her fellow players a ton of money.
On Tuesday, Time Magazine announced that Caitlin Clark has been named as their Athlete of the Year.

Quite the accomplishment for Caitlin Clark, to say the least. Ironically, last year, Taylor Swift was the Time Person of the Year.
In the Time Magazine profile Clark, who attended two Eras Tour shows in Indianapolis, shared an anecdote about Taylor Swift and how the two have communicated.

I’m sure that whenever these two team up, it will make huge waves on the internet. Who knows, maybe Caitlin Clark will be in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium for one of the Kansas City Chiefs’ games down the stretch.
