Taylor Swift is almost as generous and giving as she is popular. (Perhaps those two things are intertwined?) Time and time again the pop star has been reported to give substantial tips to servers and bonuses to employees.
Swift continued that trend at the Kansas City Chiefs game on Dec. 25. After watching her boyfriend’s team lose to the Denver Broncos, the singer handed out a generous Christmas gift to a worker at Arrowhead Stadium.
We know this because Robyn Gentry, a worker at Arrowhead Stadium, told everyone about it in a Facebook post just a few days later.
“If Taylor handed you money would you frame it?!?” Gentry wrote on Facebook on Dec. 28.
“I was working at Arrowhead for the Chiefs game Christmas day. I was doing my end of season to do list, talking with my coworkers when security goes to walk through. First it was momma Kelce, then it was Travis, and then Taylor. She was running around telling everyone Merry Christmas and came towards me, saying thank you so much for working on Christmas, please take this, Merry Christmas.
“My mind just froze. Of course, I said Merry Christmas and thank you so much. Travis and her were smiling so big and just kept saying merry Christmas, thank you for working Christmas but then they were gone and I stopped to look at what was in my hand… $600.
“My whole paycheck for two weeks. I had just dropped that much for Christmas for 8 kids. I immediately started crying. So, I came home and can’t bring myself to spend it. So, I framed one. Still haven’t spent any but I wanted to share the story with people who will appreciate it with me. Taylor and Travis are beautifully kind people. It’s very true, incredible and very kind people. Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday to me.”
Taylor Swift seems to be one of the nicest, most generous celebrities on the planet
As previously mentioned, Taylor Swift has done this sort of thing before. Just prior to Christmas in 2023, generously and personally tipping the workers who delivered food to her suite during the game.
Last year, again just before Christmas, a woman named Suzie Drew shared a video thanking Taylor Swift for being so nice to workers at the stadium during the Chiefs game. Following that game, Swift doled out tips to custodial workers and security and ended up FaceTiming one of the guards’ wives.
Less than a month later, Swift randomly handed a stadium worker $100 and asked the employee asked if they wanted to take a picture with her. So, unlike some folks who think they are stars at Chiefs games, Taylor Swift is one of the good ones.
