Whether you like it or not, it appears that Taylor Swift is here to stay in the NFL world.

For some fans, that means the end of the world as they continue to break down and cry like little babies. The rest of us, however, are enjoying the madness. In fact, Swift’s relationship with Travis Kelce has created a whole new generation of football fans nobody knew existed.

Don’t believe me, just check out the Taylor Swift subreddit from Thursday night when Kelce and Chiefs began the 2024 NFL season against the Baltimore Ravens.

Swifties aren’t just football fans now, they’re the best kind of football fans. The subreddit from Thursday night reads like every middle-aged dad in America.

How many times growing up did you hear “if you get two hands on it, you have to catch it.” Or “have to carry it high and tight.”

It makes sense that the first thing that new fans would cling to is the fundaments and cliches, but Taylor fans took it to the next level.

“Sometimes it literally feels like Lamar Jackson only person on offense,” one fan wrote.

“Kelce doing the dirty work this game. Blocking, being decoy. I’m gonna need some catches though,” said another.

Clearly, somebody has Travis Kelce on their fantasy team.

But it’s not just Swift fans who are going all in on football. The pop superstar herself is learning more and more about the game seemingly daily.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes recently stated that she’s even drawing up plays for the defending Super Bowl champs.

“She’s really interested in football. She asks a lot of great questions,” Mahomes said in an interview with NBC Sports. “She’s already drawing up plays, so we might have to put one in.”

Taylor Swift, and her fans, aren’t going away anytime soon and they’re making the most of the experience.
