TaylorMade Golf Officially Unveils Their New M3 And M4 Driver With Twist Face Technology

Today, TaylorMade golf finally dropped their new line for 2018. The company’s M3 and M4 drivers, metal woods, hybrids and irons are all set to drop on February 16, 2018.  Like most new drivers and irons on the market, the company promises more distance and accuracy. With all the added distance promises over the last decade, we should all be hitting it 500 yards by now.

Anyway…

The new M3 and M4 drivers have something called Twist Face technology, which is “TaylorMade’s solution to counteract golfers’ most common misses.” Those misses are hooks and slices, with the latter being the most common among beginners and bad golfers.

Via TaylorMade:

To counteract the high-toe miss (a hook), the driver face has been ‘twisted’ open (loft increased & face opened) on the high-toe to help straighten ball flight. Similarly, to counteract the low-heel miss (a slice) the driver face has been twisted closed to de-loft and close the face in the low heel area. Ultimately, TaylorMade’s Twist Face technology delivers a corrective face angle when hit off-center for longer, straighter shots.

Here is a handy video on how Twist Face technology works.

And here are some of the world’s best golfers reacting to the new TaylorMade twist face technology.

If this technology works the way it says it does, people who are gaming these new M3 and M4 drivers could be hitting a lot more fairways in 2018. Of course this isn’t going to solve all your problems, but if you’re like me and you hit a lot of fairway metals off tees because you value accuracy over distance, adding one of these to your bag might actually get you to grip it and rip it more in the new year.
