Tennessee defensive lineman Jordan Phillips has been on campus for less than three months. He already looks like a full-grown man.
Phillips, who is no older than 18, committed to play for the Volunteers during the early signing period. He chose to enroll early and got to campus in Knoxville in December.
It appears as though he has spent the vast majority of that time in the weight room. Listed at 6-foot-2, 300 pounds, Phillips looks like he was built in a lab.

As a three-star recruit, he had offers from Auburn, Georgia Tech, Florida, Iowa State, Georgia, Miami and Michigan, among others. Despite his “star” ranking, Phillips was in high demand.
It’s easy to see why.

While at Ocoee High School in Orlando, Florida, Phillips was a three-sport varsity athlete. He also wrestled and lifted weights for his school and qualified for the state tournament in both sports.
He was pumping 330 as a junior in high school.

During his senior year on the gridiron, he really came into his own. Phillips recorded 56 total tackles with a staggering 29 tackes for loss and 11.5 sacks. That came after he posted 71 tackes, 14 tackles for loss and five sacks in an eight-game junior season.
Needless to say, he is a beast. Should he continue to work with the strength, conditioning and nutrition staff at Tennessee, there is no telling at what weight he could be playing by the time he is a senior.
Phillips is already a monster and has a lot of potential to grow into a viable NFL prospect.
