Some Nashville bars are showing support for Kid Rock’s Super Bowl halftime show.
Earlier this week, Erika Kirk’s Turning Point USA announced that Kid Rock would headline their alternate Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday.
“The All-American Halftime Show is an opportunity for all Americans to enjoy a halftime show with no agenda other than to celebrate faith, family, and freedom,” said Turning Point USA spokesman Andrew Kolvet in a press release. “We set out to provide an entertainment option that will be fun, excellent, and exciting for the entire family while millions are gathered together for the big game. These performers will deliver exactly that, and we can’t wait to watch the incredible show they’re about to put on. We know millions around the country will be watching too.”

“We’re approaching this show like David and Goliath,” Kid Rock said in a statement. “Competing with the pro football machine and a global pop superstar is almost impossible…or is it?”
“He’s said he’s having a dance party, wearing a dress, and singing in Spanish? Cool. We plan to play great songs for folks who love America,” Rock said.
According to The Tennessean, several Nashville bars on Broadway will switch to Kid Rock’s Super Bowl halftime show instead of Bad Bunny.

Steve Smith, the owner of multiple bars in Nashville’s entertainment district, told The Tennessean that his businesses “will not be watching the Super Bowl halftime.”
Redneck Riviera, a Broadway bar owned by John Rich, is hosting a Super Bowl watch party on the second level of the bar, and plans to change the channel to the TPUSA show at halftime, a bouncer at the bar said on Friday afternoon.
The Tennessean reached out to the bar’s general manager for more details. Steve Smith said his other businesses, which include Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, Honky Tonk Central, Rippy’s Honky Tonk and The Diner will have the same plan as Kid Rock’s. He did not respond to questions asking for further details.
