A Georgia baseball player is under fire for some sketchy bullpen activity during a game against Texas A&M. The pitcher appeared to rub a foreign substance on the outside of his glove before entering the matchup.
Aggie fans caught him in the supposed act before quickly posting the evidence to social media. Was the player cheating? There are some that think so!
The pitcher in question is Bulldog closer Christian Mracna, who made an appearance in Saturday night’s series finale. After getting a few warmup tosses in, he was seen slowly strolling to a hidden corner of the bullpen.
There, he squatted down, removed his glove, and reached for something stowed away from plain sight. As it turns out, though, the operation wasn’t quite as covert as he’d believed!
A fan filmed Mracna, posting the video online for everyone to see. You be the judge!

A follow-up post was later added to support the claim showing Mracna going to that spot on his glove in between pitches. Was he trying to get a little extra grip with the sticky stuff?
It’s not out of the question!

Whatever he was doing worked.
The closer posted two innings of work, striking out six of the seven batters he faced to preserve a one-run win. Aggie fans were NOT happy!

“Imagine getting this excited when you had to cheat to win.”
“What was he applying to his glove and fingers in the visitor bullpen?”
“The SEC needs to do something about this.”
Do the Aggies have a legitimate gripe? It certainly seems like there’s a case that can be made!
With the loss, they missed out on an SEC sweep in front of the home crowd. While the outcome stings, particularly given the potentially shady activity from the opponent, Texas A&M is likely to remain the No. 1 team in next week’s college baseball rankings.
