Texas A&M hosts rival Texas on Saturday night in a game that boasts SEC Championship implications. The winner of the matchup will face Georgia in the title game.

For the Longhorns, it will be the toughest environment they’ve experienced on the road, at least in conference play. Aggies lineman Trey Zuhn feels bad for his opposition having to face the 12th Man!

This will be Zuhn’s first taste of the rivalry game. The two squads haven’t faced off since 2011. That doesn’t mean he’s unfamiliar with the hate the programs share for one another.

“We just don’t like each other,” he said while speaking to the media on Monday. “We’re going to go out there and play Aggie football and we’re going to handle business on Saturday.”

A confident statement, though Zuhn knows Texas A&M has one advantage in the matchup. He’ll have the home crowd on his side! Kyle Field has long been known as one of college football’s toughest venues to play in. Just ask former Top 10 foes LSU and Missouri.

The Aggies will look to knock off a third ranked opponent on Saturday, and the Longhorns will walk into an atmosphere not seen thus far in their SEC slate.

The Longhorns have travelled to face only Vanderbilt and Arkansas on the road in conference play. They’ve also played a neutral site game against Oklahoma. Their toughest SEC tests have come at home. That won’t be the case this weekend with league bragging rights on the line!

Trey Zuhn believes it will make a difference. He said he “feels bad” for the Longhorns.

The Aggies will host the inaugural meeting between the two schools as SEC foes. The league threw Texas A&M a bone after going over their heads to add the Longhorns as a conference member.

Trey Zuhn knows the 12th Man won’t disappoint! He’s expecting a raucous atmosphere when the rivalry is renewed. We’ll see if it results in a win for the home team.
