The Texas Longhorns picked up a massive win over Arizona State in the College Football Playoff to keep national championship hopes alive last week. Prior to kickoff, one cheerleader was seen mocking Sun Devils fans for their pregame trash talk.
In what’s now become a popular online series, a Longhorns cheerleader is seen judging opposing fans for their ‘Horns Down’ form from the sidelines. The lighthearted clips have gone viral on numerous occasions, providing a fun look at the passion of college football rivalries.
Previous editions include judgement of the Aggies at Kyle Field, as well as the Razorbacks in Arkansas. The series continued into the postseason when Texas battled Arizona State.
The Sun Devils and Longhorns have never been direct rivals on the field, though both boast links to the Big 12. Texas, of course, moved out of the conference and into the SEC this past season. Arizona State, meanwhile, filled the void by hopping into the Big 12 after a previous stint in the PAC 12.
That doesn’t mean ASU supporters aren’t familiar with ‘Horns Down.’ In what’s become the universal sign of disrespect to the university, the Longhorns are hit weekly with the gesture each time they travel to a new venue. Before, many at the school cried for the sign to be outlawed. Now, they’ve embraced it!
Prior to the College Football Playoff game’s kickoff, this cheerleader again gave insights into ‘Horns Down’ form. This time, she left the sidelines and went into the stands.

The Texas cheerleader roamed through the crowd to rank Arizona State fans on their attempts. Admittedly, the Sun Devils rated highly in comparison to previous fanbases.
She handed out multiple nines, and even a few perfect scores, while making her way through the stands. That didn’t stop those supporters from continuing to dish out their trash talk while she recorded the video.
In the end, the Longhorns were the ones celebrating an exciting double overtime win. Texas survived a furious fourth quarter comeback, before grabbing victory in the extra period.
The Texas Longhorns will now face Ohio State with a national championship appearance on the line. Arizona State’s incredible season came to an end at 11-3.
