The Arizona basketball team lost at home to Big 12 rival Texas Tech over the weekend. New video circulating social media suggests the Red Raiders’ 10-hour return trip was delayed.

The video, which appears to have initially been sent on Snapchat, surfaced online Sunday afternoon. The clip shows someone wiggling a knife that was jabbed into the vehicle’s wheel.
Did an Arizona fan slash the Texas Tech bus tires?
A face is not shown in the video, nor is a username of the Snapchat account. There is no way, at this moment in time, of knowing the identity of the person in the clip.
A Texas Tech logo does appear on the bus. Air is audibly heard leaving the tires.
For now, that’s all there is to go on.
While Texas Tech has not responded with a public statement, local news station EverythingLubbock.com reached out for comment. The school confirmed that there was tire damage and that it was replaced by the bus company.
The assumption of this being a salty Arizona fan stems from the timing of the video in question. It came after the Wildcats were beaten at home by the Red Raiders.
About 635 miles separate Lubbock and Tucson. Texas Tech made the trip to Arizona and took down the Wildcats in dramatic fashion. In doing so, they sent the Arizona crowd home dejected.
The Red Raiders used a late 9-2 run to erase a second half deficit and force overtime. They then grabbed the first lead in the extra session and didn’t look back.
Texas Tech won the game, 78-75. The result took the Wildcats out of first place in the Big 12 standings.
The Texas Tech bus’s 10-hour return trip might’ve been delayed, but at least the win made the wait more enjoyable.
