Ticket Prices For Texas-Texas A&M Football Game Are Completely Insane

For years, the annual Texas-Texas A&M football game was one of the marquee games on the college football calendar. Few pairs of rivals hate each other as much as these teams do.

But, the teams didn’t play from 2011-2023 after Texas A&M left the Big 12 for the SEC. With Texas having joined the SEC, there is a bunch of pent-up demand for the game between the two teams that will be played at the end of November in College Station from both fan bases. That’s resulted in very high ticket prices.

Both teams are having a pretty good year. In Texas’s case, they couldn’t have started the season any better, as they’re the number-one team in the country through six weeks. That’s even more impressive when you consider that they’ve been without Quinn Ewers for multiple games, though Arch Manning is as good of a backup quarterback as there is in the country. They appear to be a complete team after making the College Football Playoff a year ago, and could absolutely win it all this year.

Meanwhile, the Aggies have rebounded from an opening loss to Notre Dame in Mike Elko’s Aggie coaching debut to play some really good football. A 41-10 win over then-top-ten Missouri last week has them at the top of the SEC standings with Texas and fans thinking about a potential playoff berth.

It’s no surprise that tickets to a game like that would be in high demand. But, the question is just how high of a demand? Well, take a look.

It would be hard to miss this game as a season ticket holder. But, at those prices, I think a lot of people will be selling their tickets and watching the game at home on November 30.
