Everyone loves singing along to Mr. Brightside by the American rock band The Killers. If you’ve been into a bar at any time in the last twenty years, you’ve heard the iconic hit, and it truly is a great singalong song.
For lucky fans at the London Concert Venue O2, they got to witness arguably the coolest live singalong of the hit song on Wednesday evening.
England were playing Netherlands in the UEFA Euro 24 Semifinals in Dortmund, Germany on Wednesday evening London time, and I’m sure concertgoers had their mind on the match, as well.
Not to worry, concertgoers. They got to see a dramatic 90th-minute goal by England sub Ollie Watkins to put the Three Lions up 2-1 in the game’s final minutes on the big screen behind the band.
And, when the final whistle blew in Dortmund, concertgoers went wild, and The Killers immediately started playing Mr. Brightside. It was an incredible scene.

Yeah, that rocks. Mr. Brightside has always been a great stadium singalong song at sporting events, and while this wasn’t technically at a sporting event, it may as well have been!
England will try to bring it home on Sunday against Spain.
