Winning The Masters comes with plenty of perks, including a lifetime invitation to the annual dinner reserved for golfers who have won a green jacket. The reigning champion gets to set the menu for that meal each year, and some guys have put together a better lineup than others.

Ranking every menu at The Masters Champions Dinner since 2016

The Masters is easily the most hallowed event that professional golf has to offer, and every competitor who tops the field at Augusta National becomes a member of an exclusive club that boasts a slew of absolute legends.

They also become an honorary member at the club that hosts a Champions Dinner before The Masters gets underway each year, and the winners who assemble for that meal get to pick from a menu that was curated by the man who is gearing up to defend his championship.

On Tuesday, we got a look at the spread Rory McIlroy put together for The Masters in 2026, and I’d use that as an excuse to rank the best (and worst) meals from the past decade.

11. Dustin Johnson (2021)

“Crowd-pleasing” could be used to describe a good chunk of the menus that golfers have whipped up, and that’s certainly the case with the fairly run-of-the-mill spread that Dustin Johnson opted for in 2021.

He loses a few points for a main course route that’s straight out of a generic wedding venue, and the same could be said for the sides and salads that were served up. I respect anyone who serves pigs in a blanket at Augusta National, but one of these had to come in last.

10. Danny Willett (2017)

Many golfers pay tribute to their roots with the food they serve at the Champions Dinner, and if they hail from another country, its cuisine usually ends up being front and center.

That was the case when Danny Willett decided to treat his fellow victors to a taste of England in 2017. I have little doubt the chefs at Augusta National were able to whip up a tasty meal, but you’re fighting an uphill battle against the rest of the field when traditional English food is the weapon you’re rolling out.

9. Sergio Garcia (2018)

Sergio Garcia kept it pretty simple with the dinner he served in 2018. However, I have to dock him for keeping it a bit too simple by offering a grand total of three courses and zero appetizers or hors d’oeuvres, as this is easily the sparsest menu that’s been unveiled in the past decade.

8. Tiger Woods (2020)

2020 marked the fifth time Tiger Woods earned the right to set the menu for the Champions Dinner. He served cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, and fries after his first win, but subsequent menus ended up being a bit more refined.

This one was a nod to the dinner he put together in 2006 and a tribute to the rotation of meals he was accustomed to when he was growing up. That helps explain why it seems a bit disjointed when it comes to a central theme, but I have to put it toward the lower end of the rankings due to that comparative lack of options that were offered.

7. Scottie Scheffler (2023)

Scottie Scheffer also went with the crowd-pleasing route in the wake of his first win to the point where it sort of felt like he was trying to turn the dining room at Augusta National into a Chili’s for the evening. I can’t say I hate that approach, but it ends up in the middle of the pack by default thanks to what it’s going up against.

6. Scottie Scheffler (2025)

I should really have this lower due to the lack of creativity Scheffler showed two years after his first win, but he made up for it with his decision to upgrade the soup and reference the ravioli-induced injury that derailed the start of the 2025 season.

5. Patrick Reed (2019)

Patrick Reed leaned into the steakhouse theme for his dinner in 2019, and he drove that point home by making the mountain trout that was technically available a footnote under the cowboy ribeye that served as the main attraction.

It also featured a very intriguing item in the form of corn crème brûlée, which gets him extra points for creativity.

4. Jordan Spieth (2016)

Scheffler leaned into the spicier aspects of the food that’s popular in his native Texas after his first win, but Jordan Spieth decided to showcase one of its other most notable culinary contributions with a massive spread of BBQ and plenty of fixins’ that had all the makings of a delicious meal.

3. 2026: Rory McIlroy

Rory avoided making the same mistake Willett did when it came to his long-awaited Champions Dinner. The Northern Irishman paid tribute to his roots with dessert, but the rest of the menu is a pretty high-brow affair that sounds absolutely delightful.

I’m also not trying to let the wine list influence my decision when you consider not every golfer lists the pairings. However, he knocked this one out of the park while taking full advantage of the legendary cellar at Augusta National.

2. Hideki Matsuyama (2022)

I had a difficult time solidifying the order of the top three spots on the podium, as all of the guys at the top of this list absolutely nailed the menu. That includes Hideki Matsuyama, who drew inspiration from his native Japan for what sounded like an incredible meal.

1. Jon Rahm (2024)

Jon Rahm put Sergio to shame by showing how you really pay tribute to Spanish cuisine with the absolutely stacked menu he treated his fellow champions to in 2024. The selections of tapas alone would have been enough to land him in the top three, and he cemented a spot at the top with the rest of the menu.
