Theo Wease Jr. signed with the Oklahoma Sooners as a highly rated high school recruit in the class of 2019. After the 2022 football season, he opted to hop in the transfer portal.
Wease wound up at soon-to-be SEC rival Missouri, and he had his best game of the year while matchup up against his former school on Saturday.
The wideout hauled in two touchdown passes to go along with his team-high 70 receiving yards. His final score of the night proved to his most important.
The Tigers trailed for much of the night before finally taking a 10-9 lead late in the third quarter. The two teams then traded blows throughout the fourth quarter, with Missouri landing the final punch.
Oklahoma grabbed a 23-16 lead on a scoop and score with just two minutes left in the action. Cue Theo Wease Jr.
Missouri responded by driving down the field in less than a minute to even things up. Their transfer pass catcher somehow corralled a touchdown in the corner of the endzone to even the score.

On the ensuing Sooners possession, quarterback Jackson Arnold was stripped allowing the Tigers to land a scoop and score of their own as they took a 30-23 lead.
The score would stay that way as Oklahoma’s final drive sputtered. Theo Wease made sure his former fans were reminded of what they’re missing out on!
Wease approached the Sooners’ section of the stadium after the game. He delivered some trash talk to express his excitement.

It was personal!
His 70 receiving yards were the third-most he’s had in a game this year. The two touchdowns were a season high.
Missouri escaped with a close win in SEC play to keep slim playoff hopes alive. They’ll face South Carolina next week on the road.
