It appears that Tiger Woods will not be attending the Masters.

Last week, Woods was arrested for suspicion of DUI after officers noticed he looked lethargic and impaired after flipping over his car.

Deputies quickly observed that Tiger appeared impaired and lethargic. They conducted an alcohol test and it registered 0.00%. Sheriff John Budensiek said, during the news conference, he believes Tiger was not under the influence of alcohol, but rather medication.

Tiger was placed under arrest and taken to the station, where he refused a urine test. He was booked on DUI and refusal to submit to the urinalysis.

On Tuesday, the police report revealed that Woods failed several field sobriety tests, and had hydrocodone pills in his pocket.

During the finger-to-nose test, Woods apparently struggled to follow directions … closing his eyes at the wrong time, missing cues, and needing reminders to complete the exercise correctly. Deputies also noted slight eyelid twitching.

The affidavit states Woods had trouble counting, missed steps in the sequence, and failed to properly complete multiple parts of the test — even starting early before instructions were finished. At one point, he counted incorrectly and didn’t follow the required hand movements, forcing the deputies to correct him mid-exercise.

Authorities claim they found hydrocodone pills in his pocket, and Woods ultimately refused to take a urine test that could have confirmed what was in his system.

Hours after the police report was released, Woods released a statement saying that he planned to enter a treatment facility to “seek treatment”, and would be stepping away from public life for the time being.

I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.

I’m committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time.

The Masters released a statement following Woods’ revelation that he would seek treatment.
