Any publicity is good publicity. At least, that’s what being shown after Tiger Woods’ recent DUI arrest.
The golfer’s Sun Day Red apparel brand saw a recent spike in sales over the weekend. The polo worn by Woods during a scary car crash is now out of stock.
On Friday afternoon, reports of a flipped Range Rover in a two-car accident surfaced online. Woods was identified as the man driving.
He was cuffed after failing a sobriety test.
Alcohol was not believed to be the culprit. Instead, medication was cited as the cause of impairment.
Deputies quickly observed Tiger appeared impaired and lethargic. They conducted an alcohol test, and it registered 0.00%. Sheriff John Budensiek said, during the news conference, he believes Tiger was not under the influence of alcohol, but rather medication.
Tiger was placed under arrest and taken to the station, where he refused a urine test. He was booked on DUI and refusal to submit to the urinalysis.

This is Tiger Woods’ 2nd DUI.
He had another in 2017. That, too, was linked to prescription medication. He was arrested in Florida after being found asleep behind the wheel of his car, which was still running.
He underwent rehab. That was not enough to prevent his current girlfriend, Vanessa Trump, from barring him from operating a vehicle with her five kids as passengers.
Luckily, Woods was alone during his accident on Friday. Scenes from the crash were scary. Thankfully, no one was harmed.

Woods has since been released on bail. While the matter is both serious and upsetting, the golfer is experiencing an unintended reverberation from the ordeal.

Tiger Woods was donning a shirt from his apparel line while being arrested. That polo is no longer in stock on the Sun Day Red website.
The ‘Review’ polo, described on the site as a favorite of Woods’, comes in two colors – Feisty Flamingo and Cosmic Blue. The blue design, which can be seen in the golfer’s mugshot, appears to be sold out in all sizes.

At $125 a pop, that’s quite the payday. The internet responded as you’d imagine.

“Going to be seeing a lot of these around Halloween I’d imagine.”
“It appears Sun Day Red’s signature color is now Cosmic Blue.”

Jokes aside, the matter remains a serious one. Tiger Woods needs help. Hopefully, this is a moment that sparks change.
