Tiger Woods Hits Embarrassing Shot AT TGL After Hilariously Miscalculating Yardage

Greg Lovett - Palm Beach Post

Tiger Woods’ indoor golf league, TGL, has been a huge hit so far. The matches, broadcast on ESPN, have brought in solid viewership numbers and have created viral moments on social media.

Arguably the biggest social media moment in the league’s short history wasn’t a great shot or crucial putt. Instead, it was a hilarious miscalculation that resulted in a huge blunder for Tiger Woods.

Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy teamed up to create TGL, an indoor golf league based in Florida. Players play in teams in a format that involves both alternate shot format and head-to-head holes in 18-hole matches that all take place on a huge indoor simulator and on a green complex that is different for every hole.

Woods’ team, Jupiter Links Golf Club, was taking on New York Golf Club o Tuesday. Woods had a long approach shot, but thought the shot was much shorter. Take a look at what happened.

It seems like Tiger Woods hit a pretty good wedge! The problem is, it was 100 yards short of the green!

Obviously, this is something that wouldn’t happen on a real golf course. But, in the virtual world, it’s easy to mistake the yardage like this.

The best part of this is the reaction of his teammates. To see Tiger woods make a mistake like this is absolutely hilarious. And, a few weeks ago, Tiger was laughing at one of his teammates, Kevin Kisner, for a terrible shot. That being said, i’m not sure they should’ve been laughing too much. Jupiter Links Golf Club lost the match, 10-3.

Woods was slated to play in last week’s Genesis Invitational, his first PGA Tour start of the season. But, he pulled out due to the death of his mother, Kutilda.
