Tennessee Titans Started An Injured Will Levis And It Naturally Led To Disaster

When he’s healthy, Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis is a borderline NFL starting quarterback, at best. The second-year man has been a turnover machine so far in 2024 and cost the Titans their first three games of the season with costly turnovers.

They actually won in Week 4 after he left the game with an injury and Mason Rudolph came in to lead the team to victory. But, after the Week 5 bye, the Titans were back to their losing ways with Will Levis under center, and he never should’ve been playing.

Levis was not good at all on Sunday in the team’s 20-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. And, it was revealed after the game that he’s still recovering from his shoulder injury.

The fact that Will Levis played and started made just no sense. Again, he hasn’t been good when he was healthy this year, and the team looked much better with Rudolph at quarterback in the Week 4 win over the Dolphins.

Levis was just awful. A stat line of 16/27 for 95 yards and a touchdown with an interception is beyond bad. At 3.5 yards per attempt, he’s at a level of production that makes it practically impossible to win.

To make matters worse, Levis ran over a ball boy earlier in the game.

The Titans came into the game at 1-3, making it a must-win. Why would they start a quarterback who was ineffective when healthy, and wasn’t even healthy? Tennessee Titans first-year head coach Brian Callahan has made the first big mistake of his career.
