The incident unfolded after a promising play, with Burks making an impressive deep catch from quarterback Ryan Tannehill for a touchdown.
However, the elation was short-lived as the young receiver tumbled to the ground after the play and was observed limping as he got back up. Trainers immediately rushed to his aid, assisting him off the field while holding onto his left knee for support.
Burks was then seen lying down on the field, visibly distressed with both hands on his head. Titans’ General Manager Ran Carthon was on the scene talking to Burks.
Two of the Titans’ star players, DeAndre Hopkins and Derrick Henry, approached Burks before he was taken off the field on the cart.
Burks, a standout talent drafted in the first round of the 2022 Draft, held the challenging position of filling the void left by A.J. Brown after Brown’s trade to the Eagles.
Burks demonstrated immense promise towards the conclusion of the previous season, making this injury all the more disheartening for fans and the organization.
The Titans are undoubtedly hoping for a swift recovery for the young receiver who showed immense potential.
