Tom Aspinall is speaking out after the UFC 321 eye poke incident with Ciryl Gane.

On Saturday, Aspinall told doctors that he could not continue after he was poked in both eyes by Gane in the first round of their fight.

On Sunday, Aspinall shared his visit with a UAE doctor, who told him that the fight should have been stopped, but he doesn’t think there was any serious damage to the eye.

“You should stop the fight until you are good again and until you are cleared from our side,” the doctor told Aspinall.

“Not after this visit, after the second. After making sure everything is coming back to normal with the vision.”

“But we didn’t find anything dangerous.”

Aspinall also showed a photo of his eye injury to fans.

The UFC heavyweight champion was angry at fans blaming him for the fight being stopped.

“People started booing me like it’s my fault.”

{I was training for 14 months. Trust me, didn’t want someone to finger me in the eye.”

UFC CEO Dana White has already said that he’s booking the Gane-Aspinall rematch once Aspinall is cleared to fight again.
