23 years into his NFL career, it’s still not clear when Tom Brady will actually be ready to walk away from football.
It seems one of his family members was worried about exactly that before Brady won his most recent Super Bowl.
Cris Carter revealed during an appearance today on “Up & Adams” that Tom Brady Sr had concerns 2 years ago about his son’s ability to walk away from football.
“The kid is outside still playing, & he won’t come in. It’s raining. I am only afraid the kid won’t stop playing even if he wins”⁰⁰Cris Carter shares Tom Brady’s Sr.’s concerns about the GOAT’s ability to walk away from the game⁰⁰📺: @FanDuelTV | @heykayadams | @criscarter80 pic.twitter.com/DtUwkKObmp

The night before the game, I happen to meet up with Tom Brady’s dad and asked him what he thought about the game, the opportunity to win again,” Carter told Adams. “He said the only thing he’s worried about is the kid, the kid won’t go home. He said ‘the kid is outside still playing, and he won’t come in. It’s raining, everything. He said, ‘I am only afraid the kid won’t stop playing even if he wins.
He seems to have had good reason to be concerned about his son not ever wanting to be done playing. Even after winning that Super Bowl Brady has come back for two more seasons. There was a moment before this season that it looked like he could be ready to call it quits, but Brady changed his mind and decided to return this year.

With the Buccaneers struggling this season in a bad NFC South, Brady could be getting close to ready to call it a career, but we will just have to wait and see if he actually does decide to stop playing football any time soon or if he will just find a new team after this year.
