Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has developed a unique reputation in the NFL in his first two years in the league. That reputation, however, has nothing to do with his play on the field, but his relationship with his mother off it.
Regina Jackson, Jayden Daniels’ mother and his official business manager, has been a highly visible presence in her son’s life since he entered the league, especially with her curve-flattering sideline outfits.
The attention around the pair’s relationship truly bega when a clip from Prime Video’s The Money Game went viral, in which Jackson was asked what concerned her most about her son entering the NFL. “Girls,” she answered. “Them girls.”
She added that she was certain someone was “trying to get their hooks into Jayden Daniels” and that her son was fortunate to have a mother like her looking out for him.
Since then, a series of public moments have kept the conversation going. Jackson was spotted inserting herself between Daniels and USC women’s basketball star JuJu Watkins as the two sat courtside having a conversation.
A separate photo went viral of Daniels appearing to exchange numbers with a woman in Miami while his mother watched from a nearby car. She also accompanied her son to Brandon Aiyuk’s wedding as his plus-one, where videos showed her joining Daniels on the dance floor when women entered his vicinity.
Additionally, video from a Miami dinner showed her accompanying Daniels and reportedly attempting to avoid the attention of nearby paparazzi. Daniels, meanwhile, has made comments in the past such as: “I’m a grown man, but I still gotta listen to my mom.”

All of that came to a head earlier this week during a Fanatics Flag Football event — which had to be moved from Saudi Arabia (nice, Tom!) to Los Angeles — where Brady made a joke about Daniels’ mom “allowing him to play.”

Back in October, in fact, Brady went viral for having a conversation with Daniels’ mom when the Commanders were in Los Angeles to play the Chargers. Perhaps Brady should just be glad that Daniels didn’t clap back by asking what the mothers of his children are up to.
