Tom Brady’s NFL Comeback Seems Illogical, But The 47-Year-Old Quarterback Is In Wicked Shape

Tom Brady has been retired from the NFL “for good” for more than 18 months. However, the 47-year-old quarterback is still in incredible shape and a return to the league is still on the table.

It might be a pious wish for the greatest quarterback of all-time to make a comeback, but the odds are not zero.

Brady said back in April that he could open to joining an NFL roster for a late-season playoff push if the starting quarterback was to get injured. With that being said, there are some conflicts of interest involved, including his new broadcast career as the top color commentator for Fox and a potential ownership stake in the Las Vegas Raiders.

I’m not opposed to it. I don’t know if they are going to let me if I become an owner of an NFL team. I’m always going to be in good shape. I’ll always be able to throw the ball. So, to come in for a little bit, like MJ [Michael Jordan] coming back, I don’t know if they would let me. But I wouldn’t be opposed to it.

More recently, Brady reignited the comeback conversation with a stern warning to the younger generation. He genuinely believes he could pick right back up where he left off.

All of these cryptic teasers probably won’t amount to anything. Tom Brady is retired and another season under center does not seem to be in his future. A lot of different things would need to happen at the same time to create a perfect storm.

But don’t rule it all of the way out!

Brady spent last week at the NOBULL headquarters. While there, he put up a bench press of 245 pounds. It was his max, ever, at age 47. No big deal.

In addition to his time in the weight room, Brady stepped out onto the field and threw some darts.

As football fans know by now, throwing against air doesn’t really mean anything. This video is branded content with paid promotion involved.

That doesn’t take away from Brady’s Benjamin Button-like athleticism. To put up the biggest bench press of your life more than a year and a half after retiring from your sport as the best to ever do it is such a flex.

There are a lot of bad quarterbacks in the NFL. Tom Brady would be better than a lot of them…
