Since retiring from the NFL after 22 seasons back in 2022, Tom Brady is still omnipresent in the game of football. He is the indisputable greatest NFL quarterback of all-time based on nearly every metric in the book but certainly in the one metric that matters the most: championships.
Recently, Tom Brady has been taking heat for starring in a new Pizza Hut commercial. Brady’s highly restrictive diet was a cornerstone of his success and longevity in the NFL according to Tom and fans have questioned why the guy who used to pump avocado ice cream is now a spokesperson for Pizza Hut. They want to see Tom Brady eat the pizza!
Tom Brady Made His Stance Clear On Pizza Years Ago
A quick search of ‘Tom Brady Pizza Hut‘ on social media (X and Threads) spits back dozens upon dozens of posts that look like these. Ball knowers simply refuse to accept that Tom Brady has or will ever eat Pizza Hut pizza after years of being the most notoriously picky eater in the NFL:

To be fair, if this was 10 years ago the idea that Tom Brady would ever eat Pizza Hut even on a cheat day would seem unfathomable. But in the immortal words of Smashmouth, the years start coming and they don’t stop coming and Tommy has changed his ways.
He said so himself back in an August 2019 interview with Ben Court of Mens Health. In that interview, Court asked Brady about his “favorite cheat meal” to which Tom rolled his eyes.
The G.O.A.T. then explained how his strict diet had changed with age. Tom said “if I’m craving bacon, I have a piece. Same with pizza. You should never restrict what you really want. We’re humans, here for one life. What’s changed as I’ve gotten older is now if I want pizza, I want the best pizza. I don’t eat a slice that tastes like s— and then wonder, Why am I eating s— pizza?”
What Does This Mean For Pizza Hut?
In Tom’s own words back in 2019, if he wants pizza he’ll eat it but only if it is “the best pizza.” Does this this mean Tom Brady deems Pizz Hut to be the single best ‘za on planet earth?
Personally, I’m partial to Paulie Gee’s or Don Antonio pizza, both in NYC, but to each their own. If Tom Brady says he only eats the “best” pizza and is also the new spokesperson for Pizza Hut then we have no choice but to accept that Tom believes this to be the best, right?

Lastly, one must wonder why they didn’t sit on this until the Super Bowl.
It is certainly a Super Bowl-style commercial. Do they have another, funnier one loaded in the chamber for Super Bowl Sunday?
