We’re beginning to learn more about Maxx Crosby’s rocky relationship with the Raiders, and it appears that there was some friction with Tom Brady’s personal guru and business partner, Alex Guerrero.

Two weeks ago, Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reported that Crosby was “done” with the Raiders after a disappointing season.

According to a new report from The Athletic’s Mike Silver, Crosby has “exhausted all efforts” in Las Vegas and wants out.

Crosby hasn’t made a stink publicly, partly because of his deep affection for the Raiders’ fan base, but it’s clear that he has exhausted all efforts in Vegas.

Silver goes on to report that Brady’s longtime confidante and trainer, Alex Guerrero, “frustrated” Crosby and other players with his behind-the-scenes role.

Guerrero, who regularly attends practices and meetings, purports to possess significant organizational power, informing players of impending transactions and even indicating to staff members who don’t follow his instructions that their jobs may be at risk.

Guerrero is perceived to have a direct pipeline to Brady, who lives in Florida and serves as Fox’s lead NFL analyst, limiting his in-person presence. Suffice it to say that there are trust issues permeating the Raiders’ training facility in Henderson, Nev.

This isn’t the first time Guerrero has allegedly caused drama in a locker room. Back in 2019, it was reported that Bill Belichick had banned Guerrero from treating other players on the team, citing concerns that he was overstepping his boundaries.

It’ll be interesting to see what Guerrero’s role with the team will be next season with a new head coach in place in Las Vegas.
