Colorado Buffaloes junior Travis Hunter is one of the biggest stars in all of college football.

Hunter is a Heisman Trophy candidate. He graced the cover of EA Sports College Football 25. And he’s a projected first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

But despite his immense fame, and apparent fortune, Hunter says that he really doesn’t enjoy the party lifestyle all that much.

Travis Hunter Isn’t Tempted By The Party Life That Comes With His Fame

“I don’t like to party, I don’t like to go out,” Hunter said in a feature story from ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg. “I barely like talking to people sometimes.”

That’s a far cry from the fast and furious lifestyle formerly led by his head coach, Deion Sanders. But Hunter says he likes to keep things simple.

“He puts his life into buckets: football, school, fishing, video games and spending time with Lenee. Football requires much of Hunter’s time and energy — especially to excel at two positions on opposite sides of the ball — but his discipline not to deviate from the other areas keeps him grounded.” – ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg on Travis Hunter”

“I literally wake up, go do my football stuff, get my recovery in and I’m back at home,” Hunter told Rittenberg. “Football, school, fishing and playing my video game. That’s it.”

Hunter has plenty of opportunities to live the life of the rich and the famous. But he says his intense focus is what keeps him away from that lifestyle.

“I’ve never been tempted,” Hunter said. “I love my lifestyle. I love being the boring person I am.”

That’s also, seemingly, a far cry from Colorado superstar Shedeur Sanders who, like Hunter, is one of the top prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft.

But the two of them together form one of the best QB-WR duos in all of college football, and the “one of” may well be unnecessary.
