Travis Hunter plans to marry fiancé Leanna De La Fuente in May of 2025. The Colorado football star has let his wedding party know that they’ll be standing next to him at the altar when that day comes.

Interestingly, that group of groomsmen won’t include any of his Buffalo teammates. Instead, the potential first-round NFL Draft pick has saved the spots for close family and friends.

Earlier this week, the couple dropped a video on their YouTube channel which they called Episode 1 of a coming “Wedding Series.”

In that post, Hunter and his soon-to-be wife showed off the special gifts and messages used to notify the wedding party of their upcoming roles.

Each personalized box came with bubbly, cologne, and a passport wallet. For groomsmen, each announcement boasted the message, “Suit up!”

Travis asked his brother, his fiance’s brothers, a pair of cousins, and a close friend.

It’s a family affair!

Notably absent from the list, though, were his Colorado teammates.

From all accounts, Travis Hunter is an awesome teammate. He’s been one of head coach Deion Sanders’ favorites since committing to play for him at Jackson State out of high school.

He simply wanted to keep things close to home, it seems.

The wedding is set to take place on May 24, 2025, in Athens, TN. That, of course, will come after what could be Hunter’s final season playing in Boulder.

Viewed as a top pro prospect, the versatile star expects to be taken with an early pick in next year’s NFL Draft.

Colorado opens the season in just a few weeks with a game against North Dakota State as they look to better last season’s four-win output.

Hunter will be a big part of the Buffaloes’ success.

The defender will suit up with his team on the field when that opening day comes. He’ll then suit up with a different squad at season’s end!
