Travis Kelce Could Not Care Less About The Typo On The Chiefs Super Bowl Rings

The Chiefs somehow managed to overlook an admittedly minor typo on the newest batch of Super Bowl rings that reportedly cost $40,000 a pop, but Travis Kelce doesn’t seem too worried about the oversight.

Travis Kelce secured his first Super Bowl ring with the Kansas City Chiefs when the franchise ended a 50-year drought by lifting the Lombardi Trophy in 2021, and in February, he was one of the six remaining members of that original squad to win The Big Game with the team for a third time after they vanquished the 49ers in Las Vegas.

The Chiefs had already gone to great lengths to commemorate their two previous wins with the Super Bowl rings they commissioned in the wake of each victory, and last week, we got our first look at the newest piece of bling covered in the 529 diamonds and 38 rubies that comprise the 14.8 carats of precious gems it’s encrusted with.

The inside of the ring features a list of the opponents the Chiefs beat en route to winning Super Bowl LVIII along with their playoff seeds, and it didn’t take long for fans to notice the Dolphins had a “7” next to their name even though they were the sixth seed in the AFC.

It seemed like there was a tiny chance that mistake only appeared in the rendering that was posted online and had been corrected before the rings were actually produced, but it doesn’t sound like that’s the case based on what Travis Kelce had to say while discussing the error with his brother Jason on the most recent installment of New Heights.

While there’s probably a way to fix the mistake, it certainly doesn’t sound like Travis is particularly concerned based on what he had to say :

“I don’t give a s—. I like that we didn’t give a f— about what seed Miami was. F— it. Who cares?

They could’ve done no seeds on the side of them and I would’ve been fine. I think it makes it more unique like, ‘Oh, yeah. Hey, we made it really detailed and—oops—we screwed up.’ It just makes it more exclusive.

We screwed up about something that means nothing.”

I guess that settles that.
