Travis Kelce Retaliates On Defensive End Who Laid Out Kadrius Toney In Training Camp Scuffle (Video)

Training camps have officially kicked off all over the NFL, meaning the first batch of practice videos are beginning to hit the internet.

One of the most notable incidents from the early days of training camp involves future Hall of Fame tight end and growing celebrity Travis Kelce, who was seen charging down defensive end George Karlaftis after the latter clocked wide receiver Kadrius Toney with a late hit.

After the hit, Toney springs up and chucks the ball at Karlaftis before Kelce comes running over to hit the d-end with a half-head-butt half-shoulder-charge move.

During the offseason, the 34-year-old Kelce signed a two-year, $34 million contract extension, which will keep him with the Chiefs until he’s 38 years old in 2027. Conversely, his older brother Jason Kelce — with whom he co-hosts the popular New Heights podcast — decided to retire after spending 12 seasons in Philadelphia becoming a future Hall of Fame center.

Kelce has been with the Chiefs since they drafted him out of the University of Cincinnati in the 3rd round of the 2013 NFL Draft. After a rookie season in which he only appeared in one game and had zero catches, Kelce blossomed into one of the best tight ends in the history of the NFL.

Over the course of his NFL career thus far, Kelce has 907 catches for 11,328 yards and 74 touchdowns. He has won three Super Bowl titles and has been named to nine Pro Bowls and four All-Pro first teams.

Kelce holds the NFL records for career postseason receptions (165), career postseason receiving touchdowns by a tight end, seasons with 1,000+ receiving yards as a tight end &7), receiving yards in a season by a tight end (1,416), and more.

The longtime Chiefs’ tight end has become an international celebrity over the last year due to his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift.
