Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is one of the GOATs at his position, and shows few signs of slowing down at 34 years old. He dominated in the playoffs last year.

He’s long been an unstoppable player in the Madden video game franchise as Patrick Mahomes’ top target for years, and that’s set to continue this year.

Once again, Travis Kelce has made the prestigious “99 Club” on Madden 25, set to release this month. That’s the highest overall rating possible in the game, for those unfamiliar.

With that selection, he’s now a five-time member of the 99 club, the most in history for a tight end. That’s quite an accomplishment when you consider players like Tony Gonzalez, Antonio Gates, and Rob Gronkowski all played in the Madden era and could’ve easily had five years with 99 overall rankings.

But, Travis Kelce deserves it. Credit to those guys, as they’re outstanding football players and are or will be Hall of Famers. But, Travis Kelce is the best receiving tight end in the history of the game.

Last season snapped a streak of 7 years with at least 1000 receiving yards, as he finished with 984 yards while missing two games. But, his snap count was down to save his legs for the postseason, and that paid off. In four playoff games, he had 32 catches for 355 yards and 3 touchdowns. That’s a 1500 yard pace prorated over a 17-game season.

Of course, none of that was the most newsworthy thing about Travis Kelce last season. That would be his relationship with arguably the world’s most famous woman, Taylor Swift. Expect the pop superstar to be back in NFL stadiums for most of the season, as her ‘Eras Tour’ winds down its European leg this month before picking back up in October and ending for good in December.

Kelce is joined in the 99 club by 49ers LT Trent Williams and Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill.
