Viral Video Confirms Travis Kelce’s New Race Horse Is Named After T-Swift But It Was Actually A Coincidence

Travis Kelce just used a tiny portion of his considerable earnings to purchase a stake in a 3-year-old race horse by the name of ‘Swift Delivery.’

To track down the horse, Travis Kelce and the Zoldan family enlisted the services of renowned Team Valor International CEO/Founder Barry Irwin who bred 2011 Kentucky Derby winner ‘Animal Kingdom.’ All of this information is publicly available after it was picked up by various media outlets that Travis Kelce had bought a horse with a name that kinda-sorta-maybe sounded like it was related to Taylor Swift, but here’s where it gets wild.

Travis Kelce Buys Race Horse Named After Taylor Swift And It’s Entirely Coincidental

As it turns out, Travis Kelce’s new 3-year-old race horse Swift Delivery was, in fact, named after his girlfriend Taylor Swift but it was a complete coincidence and Travis had no hand in naming the horse nor choosing it due to the name.

We now know this because of a resurfaced TikTok where a woman named Emily Slavkin posted a list of horse names she and her boyfriend were considering after they were tasked with naming a horse and in the video she reveals that she’s a huge Swiftie and the name ‘Swift Delivery’ was in honor of Taylor Alison Swift. Here’s that clip which I came across via Charles Curtis at FTW:

Of course, after the news got out that Travis Kelce was one of the partners that purchased this 3yo race horse named after Taylor Swift the woman who created the first video, Emily Slavkin, heard about it and shared a second video freaking out over the realization that she was responsible for naming Travis Kelce’s race horse:

She starts by saying “you guys, I’m freaking out right now. I literally do not know how to act right now. Travis Kelce just bought horse, or part of a horse, called ‘Swift Delivery’ and you’re like ‘oh that’s perfect he’s dating Taylor Swift, so cute.’ What does this have to do with you? Let me tell you…” and she dives back into the story of how she named this particular horse in honor of Taylor Alison Swift.

Horses that run in the Kentucky Derby are, you guessed it, 3 years old. It’s unclear if this particular race horse will have the resume to warrant a Kentucky Derby invitation next year but it would be pretty cool to see Travis Kelce have a race horse in the Kentucky Derby and Taylor Swift there cheering on the horse named after it. That horse would easily break records for the most money wagered on a single race horse in history, no doubt in my mind.
