Travis Kelce Slams Cleveland Fans Who Questioned His Loyalty To The Guardians

Anybody who knows Travis Kelce knows one thing, the man loves his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.

Kelce and his brother Jason went to Cleveland Heights High School. Their “New Heights” podcast is a nod to the city and high school, and Kelce’s 87 and Running charity does a lot to support the city and his former school.

But Kelce’s fierce love of Cleveland came under scrutiny when he attended Game 2 of the ALCS between the Guardians and New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium without wearing any Guardians gear or Cleveland-related apparel.

Now, the superstar tight end is calling BS.

“I’ve been a cleveland sports fan my entire life… Make it back to countless amount of games over the years both Guards and Cavs just to enjoy these memories with my friends and family, WIN OR LOSE!!… and I don’t wear Cleveland gear one time 😂 and all of a sudden I’m not a real fan,” Kelce tweeted on Thursday during Game 3. “Ask anybody that was in or around that suite on game 1 who I was cheering for, they’ll let you know I was there for the @CleGuardians.”

That answer is in line with what he said on the latest episode of “New Heights.”

‘The whole time I’m screaming, I’m in the hostile territory because it’s the Bronx Bombers, I’m at the Yankee stadium at the playoffs, and I’m here cheering for the Guards cause I’m a Cleveland kid, and I want to see Cleveland win a f—ing World Series. It was mixed feelings because i was there trying to have fun with Tay and all our friends,” Kelce said on the show.

It’s ridiculous that his Cleveland loyalty ever came into question. But if it weren’t clear before, it should be extremely clear now. Travis Kelce is all-in for Cleveland.
