The Tampa Bay Buccaneers came up short on Thursday Night Football after allowing Kirk Cousins to throw for am Atlanta franchise record 509 yards against them. It was the best TNF game of the season by a mile with the Bucs and NFL South rival Falcons going back and forth all night but the Falcons had the last laugh when Kirk Cousins threw a 45-yarder to KhaDarel Hodge for the win.

After the loss, three time Pro Bowler Tristan Wirfs spoke with reporters in the visitor’s locker room. He described the loss in colorful language that had to be blurred out in the caption posted to X by ESPN’s Jenna Laine.

Couldn’t Tristan Wirfs have just said they dookied their pantaloons? Did he really have to go with ‘we s—– down our legs’ so that those of us with vivid imaginations immediately envisioned that happening?

I could’ve gone the rest of the week without that visual. As a born and raised Buccaneers fan, the loss hurt enough. Now I’ve got the image of the entire offensive line dropping logs down their legs as they lost to the Falcons because Tampa’s defense somehow allowed Kirk Cousins to throw for over 500 yards!

The Bucs have looked like one of the better teams in the league to start the season. In fact, the NFC South has surpassed most people’s expectations overall (aside from the Panthers). But if the Buccaneers want to stay in the mix this season they need to figure out how to not give up 500+ yards to dudes named Kirk.
