Taz Tulowitzki, the son of five-time MLB All-Star Troy Tulowitzki, is next up in the Class of… 2032. Yes, he is only 11 years old.

However, the Austin-based Little Leaguer already commands the attention of college scouts.

Tulowitzki seems to be destined for greatness just like his Major League Baseball father. The next few years are really going to tell us what to expect from this young slugger!

Who is Troy Tulowitzki?

You probably already know the answer to that question. Troy Tulowitzki had a five-year stretch where he was the best shortstop in the Bigs with the Colorado Rockies.

He won back-to-back Gold Glove Awards and back-to-back Silver Slugger Awards in the same two years, 2010 and 2011. He was named as an All-Star in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Things ultimately fizzled out on the latter half of his career due to a long list of injuries. His prime was cut short and he was forced to retire early in 2019. That was after a brief stretch in Toronto, where Taz Tulowitzki got some of his first hacks.

He also played a year with the Yankees before he hung up his cleats for good. Not even.

Taz Tulowitzki hopes to carry on his father’s legacy.

There is still a very long way to go before the son of Troy Tulowitzki plays baseball on the collegiate or professional levels. There is still a long way to go before Taz Tulowitzki hits high school!

Perfect Game lists him at 5-foot-0, 90 pounds at 11 years and one month old.

All he does is hit, but he also throws at a top speed 66 mile per hour. Not bad for a rising seventh grader…

As you could imagine, Tulowitzki does not play Little League. He plays only at the highest level of U12 competition on elite circuits with Lonestar Baseball Club out of Austin. (His dad is an assistant with the Longhorns.)

Taz Tulowitzki has baseball in his blood. You can see it in his swing.

The technique is there.

As is the power.

The apple does not fall from the tree. I really wish Troy Tulowitzki could’ve stayed healthy but have no fear, his son is here.
