Micro Sprint Car driver Gabe Zahner went for a wild ride on Tuesday morning at the Tulsa Shootout.

Zahner, who drives the No. 32Z entry, flipped several times before launching into the air. The car then slammed into the catchfence and hung there for a moment before sliding out of the camera’s view.

When the camera panned, it showed that Zahner’s car had settled into a dumpster on the other side of the fence. Ironically, the dumpster was plastered with a large  “No parking” label on the side in red lettering. While Zahner was able to climb out, shockingly unscathed, the car stayed stuck in the dumpster until a piece of heavy machinery was brought in to lift. it out

Gabe Zahner Somehow Walks Away From Scary Yet Hilarious Dirt Racing Crash

Zahner was able to remove a body panel from the side of the car in order to climb out unscathed. Afterward, he gave an account of what happened.

“I’m feeling good. I didn’t even know I went that high,” he told the trackside interviewer. “I saw I was gonna go run the high side, and then the next thing I know, I’m flipping, and I’m sitting on my side. So I’m just glad I’m okay.

“I don’t know about my car. But that can be fixed. I can’t.”

Huge crashes aren’t uncommon in dirt racing, which pairs high speeds with uneven surfaces, tight confines, and limited visibility.

Earlier this year, NASCAR star Kyle Larson narrowly avoided serious injury after a similar incident at a World of Outlaws event. Like Zahner, Larson said he just suddenly lost control.

“It just kind of launched me, and I was along for the ride,” the reigning Cup Series champion said at the time. “Bummer, but I felt really good pacing Rico [Abreu] there and just finally catching traffic and get racing there. Glad I’m OK, big hit but all-in-all, feel fine.”

Thankfully, both Zahner and Larson escaped their respective incidents unscathed.
