Jim Harbaugh is getting interest from at least two teams despite the whole sign-stealing scandal at Michigan.
Harbaugh, who hasn’t coached in the NFL since 2014, is popping up in league circles as a potential hire for some of the most desperate teams in the NFL.
Earlier this week, The Athletic’s NFL Insider Diana Russini told Colin Cowherd that the Carolina Panthers are talking about Harbaugh after firing their head coach Frank Reich.
“Let’s just start with Carolina, alright? You mentioned that David Tepper makes that firing last week with Frank Reich now out. If you remember, Tepper and Harbaugh had conversations last year. It obviously didn’t pan out, but this was something that they discussed. So that’s a name I’m hearing again.”
The struggling Chicago Bears are also having discussions about hiring Harbaugh, according to Russini.
“The Chicago Bears are another organization I have heard has had some conversations about that depending on what decision they make with this coaching staff that is in place and of course what they do with that quarterback situation.”
Earlier this year, USA Today’s Danny Sheridan reported that Harbaugh would “100 percent leave Michigan if offered a job in the NFL.”
Jim Harbaugh is a great college & NFL coach & his Super Bowl winning brother John is also excellent. My sources tell me Jim is 100% leaving UM after this season "if" he gets an NFL offer. I broke about 50 stories on CNN & all happened. My No.1 story was Danny Ford retiring (cont)

Considering Harbaugh is facing another suspension next season, we could very well see him leave college for the NFL.
