Tyler Reddick had one of the toughest races of his career and still did enough to win the regular season.
During Sunday’s NASCAR Cook Out Southern 500, Redick apparently had to drive with the stomach flu and complained about pooping and throwing up while in the middle of the race.
"I'm throwing up. S***ting myself."

Redick’s team attempted to give him pills to cure his ailments, but he dropped the pills inside the car.
“The pills are too small. I just dropped all of them,” –@TylerReddick reports to the team about the pills they gave him to help his stomach. #NASCAR

Reddick eventually finished the race in the tenth place and was awarded enough points to win the NASCAR Cup regular season championship by one point.
Reddick spoke about the issues he faced while racing with the stomach flu.
“Things fell our way at the end there. By the end of Stage One I couldn’t even focus to tell the guys what to do. It was frustrating. We had that buffer over the 5 and I watched it disappear all day long.”
Update: Reddick claims that he didn’t throw up or poop himself in the car after the race.
Tyler Reddick said he didn’t 🤮 and didn’t 💩 in the car … he said it was a stomach bug. Said he never felt worse during a race.
