The Jets Inadvertently Cued Up The Perfect Song At The Exact Moment Tyreek Hill Quit On The Dolphins

It appears there’s a good chance Tyreek Hill has played his last snap in a Dolphins uniform based on what he had to say after prematurely exiting the team’s season finale against the Jets. A new clip seemingly captured the exact moment he decided to check out, and the opposing team could not have picked a better time to cue up an incredibly on-the-nose song at MetLife Stadium.

The Miami Dolphins entered the final game of the season sitting at 8-8, and while they had the chance to make the playoffs, a berth relied on their ability to beat the Jets and a Chiefs team with nothing to play for dispatching a Broncos squad that needed a win to secure its own spot in the postseason.

The outcome of the game between Miami and New York ended up being a moot point after Kansas City essentially gifted Denver a win by resting most of its starters. However, the Dolphins did not impress in a tilt where the Jets pulled out to a 7-6 lead with a touchdown in the first quarter and didn’t trail for the remainder of a contest where they earned the 32-20 victory.

After the game, Tyreek Hill strongly implied he was ready to move on after seeing his numbers take a nosedive during his third season in Miami, and Mike McDaniel all but said the wide receiver pulled the plug on himself at some point in the second half while addressing the media after the contest.

That showdown also produced a viral clip of Aaron Rodgers sitting on the bench during the final game of a disappointing season of his own as the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme blared through the speakers at MetLife Stadium, but it actually overshadowed an even more apropos moment.

An extended version of that segment of the broadcast captured Jaylen Waddle looking in Hill’s direction during a challenge review with 2:35 to go in the third quarter before asking, “Hey Cheetah, you done?” and seemingly learning his fellow wideout had decided to call it quits at the exact moment the aforementioned song started playing.

If that’s not art, I don’t know what is.
