New York Jets signal caller Tyrod Taylor has been sued by ex-girlfriend Draya Michele. The model/actress is claiming breach of contract saying the passer supposedly broke a verbal agreement about selling her a Los Angeles home.

The news comes amid the team’s offseason camp, producing another negative storyline surrounding the Jets‘ QB room.

More from the NY Post:

The 39-year-old model is suing Taylor, 34, for breach of contract under claims that he broke a verbal agreement between the pair while they were dating to sell her a home, which he purchased in Los Angeles in August 2022.

Michele alleges in the lawsuit that Taylor “surprisingly” threatened to evict her recently from the home, where she lives with her kids.

Taylor and Michele began dating in 2020 when the passer was playing for the Chargers. That said, they’ve done a large part of that relationship via long distance as the actress lives in Los Angeles while the QB has been suiting up for the Giants, and soon the Jets, in New York.

A split reportedly came sometime last year.

After the initial reports surfaced, each posted a cryptic response on social media.

At 2:03 PM ET, Michele took to Instagram to write a message for followers. “Run your mouth… OR,” the note said.

Tyrod Taylor seemingly responded with an Instagram story of his own at 2:06 PM.

“Know you a master manipulator and habitual liar, too,” he wrote. “But don’t tell no lie about me and I won’t tell truths ’bout you.”

It seems things could get messy.

Tyrod Taylor’s lawsuit has created more offseason drama in New York.

More specifically, in the QB room.

Aaron Rodgers made negative headlines with his recent omission from mandatory minicamp as he was rumored, instead, to be at an ayahuasca retreat. Questions about his commitment to the team immediately arose, though some believe the debacle could’ve been avoided by had the Jets taken the necessary steps.

“If the team and the players are cool with [his omission], internally, there’s no discord, and that’s all that matters to them. [The Jets] have to know where they’re residing in the New York City metropolitan area… They have to know that if they’re going to play it like this, the way it would be received.

“To know that bridge is out, and they had this much run up of roadway to get to the bridge, why they would just floor it and go right into the abyss makes no sense… Why don’t the Jets switch weeks as to when they’re holding minicamp? If they had months of heads up, why didn’t they make the week before the mandatory minicamp, when Rodgers was there?”

Distractions surround the New York Jets as they look ahead to 2024, as do question marks.

Taylor was brought in to provide depth behind Aaron Rodgers, who missed all but four snaps last year thanks to an Achilles injury. With Zach Wilson at the helm, the team limped to a 7-10 season.

Wilson is now off to Denver, being traded for scraps compared to New York’s first-round investment. Taylor, meanwhile, come in following an up and down performance with the Giants.

To this point, the QB room is producing more headaches than happiness.
